  • Thanks very much. Can I ask off topic though. What is it with those weird clouds on the port side as you are gaining height?

  • They're part of Cummulus X

  • Wrong. You don't pull into the shalow climb the glider takes off itself you just make sure it stays shallow. Then you keep easing the stick back maintaining that steep angle of attack. Then you don't wait for the back release!! When you feel the winch ease off the controls ( glider slows down and difficult to maintain angle) you lower the nose and pull the yellow release. And fly at about 45 knts. That's the proper way to do it b

  • I always learn this: do never rotate yourself! Wait till it rotates itself.

  • After cable disconnect, give it a bit of nose down for a bit. That's just to make sure the cable is out of the locking mechanism.

  • in RL you set your climb angle against you speed indicator but with WichX you can take any angle you keep the speed you put in your WichX option but it is better then nothing :p

  • yes

  • search web with Google for "peter luerkens" and/or Cumulus X
