Was there collusion of a devious nature? Did they exchange bank details on the final climb? Or was it perhaps written on Kolobnev's bar stem for Vino to see and memorize?
All in all, they broke away and deserved the top two podium places. No denying that. Speculation will be rife, though. Nothing new.
I find it very hard to believe that Kolobnev -- and his Katusha salary -- would be "€100,000" swayed from a potentially career-changing L-B-L win. But let's see.
