Traffic controllers in SL. Hmm actually funny to see. They are used to make it appear that the sim they have has a lot of traffic. Like its a busy place and probably full of interesting avatars to mingle with.

Wrong!This was pretty sad really because here you have a sim owner who probably pays tier up the ying yang and wants to sell her land and buildings. but there isnt a soul there.

Out of desperation I guess they put them up to attract people to come on by.

I usually will go on the map and search for sims i havent seen yet and I saw this long line of green dots and got curious and tp'd to the place.

I walked around and not an avatar in site. Looked under ground not an avatar. looked in the buildings ...not an avatar. I saw all these green dots so someone had to be having some big shing dig.

So I strapped on my jet pack and flew to the sky. I followed my location on the map in relationship to the green dots and bingo a bot farm.

They were just standing in formation with a guard standing watch who was um armed with a block set into his head.

They kept coming in to as I watched and did a little filming. After I dropped to the ground and ran into the owner of the sim. Funny they were not there before. Must have some kind of an alarm when someone arrives or intrudes on thier bot farm. Ive seen a few others but wont give them away of course.

They were nice and up front. didn't hide the fact that yes they had bots there.

I said nice meeting you and I was on my way to find other interesting locations to film.

I know this is a big thing. The bot issue. but this sim was really nice and had a lot to offer. Maybe they should advertise better. Well enjoy the bots.

@4everrockett you think this is to much well this is old. You better start watching the real news as to what is really happening. Not good. The Real news is what is important & you wont get it on your local TV. Yeah I love SL but it wont be around for ever & this is old news. bot Bots everywhere well we took care of them. They r hmm under control lol it's whats real that is not.

Well, a lot of people seem to hate traffic bots. I am contemplating buying one for my sim because i am a new designer on SL and i need aid in bringing traffic. Its not like i make crappy stuff and want to scam people out of their money. Its not like im sitting on my ass expecting everything to play itself and work for me. I do a lot of work. I advertise in SL Fashion groups. I buy spaces in SL magazines. I buy ads on sims that i visit but only if the sim has a reputable atmosphere.

I wouldn't worry about it. People use them for many things. Some for art & fashion. But 2 many can drive u crazy. To many av's on some sims can slow the place down. But it is fun to see how people use them.

I hate it! I found loads of places like these.

Its so poor, you are having a good sim or club shop or what ever or not.

Faking the traffic is so poor. I found a shop once and realised they use this, i just left without buying because these fucker wont get my money.... lazy pricks should invest time in proper advert and not that

It bothered me for awhile too. But everyone is pretty much onto it. Ive seen others use it for atrisitc purposes but this one was excessive.

yeah this is funny, its like having a website , with a hit counter, and then visiting your own site over and over to make it look as though you have a popular site, its ridiculous, theyre saying they are going to fix the traffic coutning part on aug 1 2009, we;lle see,
