Testing should always be done right after tuning. I did this video to specifically show case what can happen by over tightening a cap while tuning and leave the horn till say a big meet or get together. It also help to seat the horn and get the diaphragms worked in. You get half way through your run till the pressure drops enough for a bell to drop like so. Leaving you with less then a desirable sound for the remander of your runby. Good thing I did the horn up like this the first time I tuned it up. It won't sound like this in the next video ;)
