This particular song is... wierd, to say the least. Some sort of country/reggae love song... kinda.
Strummmer´s voice almost makes me think it´s a parody of cheesy love songs, but you never know. Seeing as they didn´t release this on any of their "real" albums might mean that they never really intended it to be a serious song, and just recorded it for kicks or whatever.
I don´t know. It´s definitely not the best Clash song out there, IMO, but for any Clash fan, it´s definitely worth a listening.

yeah have u got THE SINGLES 19cd set well there is long time jerk on the ROCK THE CASBAH disk which is the longer version. there is also prev unreleased songs on them disks as well, well worth buying trust me.

Paul Simonon wrote this song and you can hear him sing a few of the lines. Way different from Guns of Brixton, that's for sure (and that's what I LOVE about The Clash).

Not sure why even hard core Clash songs dismiss this gem. It may have a stereotypical 'polka" beat but make no mistake folks -- this is real rock and roll -- and rock and roll like only the Clash can do. It's an amazing song in a catalogue of amazing songs.
