@kingkong19100 No, actually Ishiro Honda, the man who made Godzilla,made the name "Gojira" meaning Whale-ape. Gojira was the nickname of a very fat person who worked at the Toho studio. Gojira translates into Godzilla in English. That is the TRUE story of the Godzilla name.

I also remember the scene in Terror of Mechagodzilla where Godzilla's back is on fire, the stuntman wasn't acting, the suit had been set on fire by accident and he was screaming for help
