Read Dr. Tabata's 1996 research befor you call it a rip off of "professional interval training". then you may understand who Dr. Tabata is and what the principle is all about

and does not negate any of the other forms or types of HIIT training. I would like to ask what the "whole crap load of better training programs" you are refering to ass the tabata system is a principle is a "principle" not a "programme" and each individual would have a different programme designed around what works for them and the "principles" that are most aligned to that. I would like to know, could you elaborate?

After muting the music I enjoyed the video. I like this type of workout and have done many similar to this. I'll also incorporate burpees, lunges, jumping jacks, mountain climbers in to a routine such as this just to change things up and stay interested.

    Thanks for sharing!

the reason why I disagree with your comment sir is due to the fact that these kipping pull ups that you despise are not meant to be portrayed as traditional. they are merely a movement to provide an increase in workload. there is a point when the muscles will not be able to pull yourself up anymore and the only way to continue working is kipping. crossfit incorporates traditional dead hang as well as wieghted pull ups to increase pull up performance. im able to do 27 deadhangs w/o dropping.

Kipping pullups a lot easier than regular "dead hang" pullups, dead hang pullups works all parts of muscle involved in pullup uniformly which is good.

I agree with you. If you do more, you will need maybe a week to recover from such training.

Also beginners should do exercises in Slow tempo, imho.

Especially when it comes to pullups and pushups, pullup - hard exercise, even If you can do 15 pullups in row.

squats, sit-ups exercises are easier than doing pullups and pushups, so increase intensity of training very gradually.

i agree with everything but the pull ups. i hate that there is something called "kip ups" in the originally swinging your feet was not a true pull up which they call a kip. although swinging only your upper body without moving your legs to gain momentum was still considered a true pull up, now know as a "dead hang". who ever decided to re-class a traditional workout, that takes skill and proper form, is brain washing the new generation into "kip ups" being a real workout.
