A long time ago soldiers/warriors would just defect when they got tired of fighting. Even up until the 1800's american soldiers defected all the time while conquering the native americans. These days that isn't so easy so most people hav to stay but now a few want to kill themselves. The same thing would happen in the normal workforce if people couldn't just quit whenever they wanted.

um the U.S put down the Rebellion with the help of the Filipinos I know greatly about the Spanish-American war I'm from Puerto Rico.

the Filipinos have much respect for the USA they gave them there own country an even help them set it up an pay for building projects they fought side by side against the Japanese. one of my aunts is Filipino also

the U.S kicked Spain out of the Philippines not the philippinos yes there was a group of rebels that fought the U.S after that but that was put down. after that the U.S told the ppl they can be there own self governing country or part of the U.S after awhile the ppl voted to become self governing an the U.S started helping them setup there government but the Japs fucked that up for 4 years.
