Just becoz internet 2 is used by a minority now does not mean it does not have plans to spread and grow. As facebook once was for universities only and now has basically taken over! The internet IS free but somehow now is charged for...theres no way internet 2 is going to stay dormant.

I'm actually a former employee of I2, so I know the story. Alex Jones is full of crap in this regard.

Actually you've got it almost right. There is no commercial traffic or advertisements on internet2. The corporate members are engaged in network research, not normal commerce. The only remotely "military" connection to Internet2 is the Dept. of Veterans Administration, the Naval Postgraduate School, and maybe NASA could be considered "military" since they sometimes carry payloads for the DoD. And despite Kakashi465's thoughts, it's actually a very wide open network. We had no filtering at all.

I got my references from the AlexJonesChannel and out of that I did my own research.
If Internet 2 don't happen, it don't happen. if it does it does. I just want to express what would happen if it would.

Fair enough. But I reckon its just some flimsy person out there who wants attention I reckon. So I think the Internet 2 won't happen/ already is happening and is running now :)
