  • @mike6413 No, it makes no difference. The pulley isn't acting as a lever, it's effectively dividing the force into two parts - half goes to the frame and the other half to the 'force in' (hand). Pulley diameters would be chosen to suit the application - total weight lifted, type of rope or cable, etc.
