Hitler knew this and I think he wished to include them in his ideal Germany. I realize his empire stretched further than that but it is not much different than the American military bases that dot the world today.

I am very glad to see you acknowledge that Hitler and the Nazis were greatly demonized. The reason I say he was a race realist is his belief in superiority had scientific basis. I'm sure you have heard of racial science. I will admit a few of his beliefs are a little far fetched, but so are those of modern day politicians. As for neighboring countries, historically most of them were Germanic land and the people that inhabit them are Germanic.

@TurboJesus3000 It's fair to say his rise to power was facilitated by the sorry state Germany was in following WWI but to try and 'excuse' his abhorent behaviour as little more than slightly-misguided patriotic fervour is to close your eyes to reality. The ISSUE perhaps is that Hitler has been demonised by the 'west' and Stalin, for example, (who was as bad and perhaps even worse) has largely been excused his evils because he ultimately came over to the 'good guys' side.

@TurboJesus3000 You seem to have quite a selective memory about Hitler's actions. To suggest he believed in 'race realism' is a nonsense. He believed, and encouraged (perhaps even 'ordered' would be a better word) Germans to believe that they were superior and that the inferior races must be crushed. He didn't just want Germany for the Germans either, he wanted Poland, Czechoslovakia, Austria etc...
