  • That intro sound is kind of disgusting though. It's funny that I saw this dish in a Japanese anime that takes place in Germany (called "Monster")

  • @reverendjordan I believe that he also refused to change anything in the dish thinking that it would kill his luck XD

  • @Seimour02 He also loved the dish so much that for the rest of his reign he had marengo made after any victorious battle

  • I am not certain, but as I recall the recipie was invented by a french cook in italy after the battle of Marengo, hence the name. It was made for Napoléon with what little food was available in the area to celebrate his victory over the austrians. So I am uncertain that makes it an italian dish >>
