Amazing to me that you have to make a 9 minute video trying to explain and twist Christ's words into something that proves the Catholics wrong. It is very simple. The protestants have to try and disprove what Christ said or they would find themselves Catholic. Christ said over and over in the new testament This is my body, eat it and this is my blood which is shed for you, drink it. He wanted to make sure, even at the risk of losing deciples, that everyone understood what he meant.

@defenderofthefaith11 Great witness! Another thing that the protesters do not realize is the facts behind the "founder" of their "bible" the so-called k.j.v. James I (VII of Scotland) was a sorcerer and had his opponents burned at the stake. He had another alchemist and sorcerer, John Dee consult kabbalistic Jews in Venice to conjure up, you guessed it, the k.j.v....no original Latin, no original Greek, just the "translations" of Jewish magicians. They don't even know the facts of their "bible

Consider the original "Passover", God commanded that the people "procure a "Spotless Lamb" (THIS is the O.T. SYMBOL of Christ) sacrifice it, ("there can be no salvation without the shedding of blood") sprinkle the blood on the "doorposts" (of our hearts) to save from the "angel of DEATH" (satan)...guess what they were commanded to do next??! EAT the Lamb. Coincidence? Not with God. If Jesus commands me to eat His flesh & drink His blood & I'll have life everlasting life, I believe HIM.

@thrufaithalone Right again, the flesh profits nothing. "The flesh" refers to human flesh and human reasoning. St. Paul makes this clear over and over. If you are saying the Flesh of Jesus Christ profits nothing then you can not be a true Christian. It was His Flesh that suffered and died for you. How dare you to say the Flesh of Christ profits nothing ! In John 6 Jesus said " the flesh profits nothing " not "My Flesh profits nothing." He says you have no life in you unless you eat His Flesh.

@thrufaithalone You are right, God did give us His Word. He also gave us living teachers so we might know what His Words meant. If two brothers disagree, where are they to take it ? If you believe the Word of God so much you should know the answer to that. Or are you going to try and explain that away too. You would not know the Word of God without the Catholic Church, at least not the New Testament.

@thrufaithalone Another question, what was God holding in His hands when He said "this is My Body" ? What Jewish feast were they celebrating ? Where was Jesus born? What does the name of that city mean ? What is a manger ? How many gospels did God say "this is My Body " ? Where did all the epistles in the New Testament come from ? Tell me one protestant church that was around then. Tell me the name of who started the Catholic church. The "Truth " will never change !

You are correct thrufaithalone, that is what it says, Now take a look at what it says at the 4:45 point in this video. Look at it very close, now then, tell me what it says ! By the way have you read the Didache, or any of the early church fathers ? I admire you for having passion for the word of God. I do too,and that is why i get upset at people who add or change His words to try and promote their positions. Martin Luther added the word "alone" in his translation of the bible. That was wrong !

When Christ said to eat His body and drink His blood He was speaking figuratively, not literally. The Book of John also says "unless a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God." Does this mean we need to be pushed out of our mother's womb again? Of course not. That would be impossible. Christ offered His body and blood on the cross for us. He wants us to accept His body and blood sacrifice for the atonement of our sins.

(cont'd) The NT also says "let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise - the fruit of lips that confess His name" (Hebrews 13:15.

Proverbs 30:6. You might want to read this Dr. Joe. After you read that go ahead and read Psalm 111:10. I am not sure if you changed the words, or you have a defective bible, either way you are deceiving people. At no time did Jesus say " This is My body which is broken for you." You added the word broken in there. I can remember a story about a guy that added the word "alone" in a certain passage in the bible, that is still misleading people to this day. This video is very wrong !

@defenderofthefaith11 "This is my body, which shall be given up for you" is indeed from Scripture - 1 Corinthians 11:24 - Catholic Public Domain Version of the Sacred Bible
