Not a big fan of NBC News, but man I'll tell ya, their closes to broadcasts are timeless - the great theme music and the wonderful panoramic shots of Manhattan are pretty nice

I click on many vids and didn't see the point of posting how nbc has cut john williams "the mission" down to THIS.. I saved a nice redition from over ten years ago when maybe once a week they'd play the long close(just to the right)..I understand it will vary each night according to what stories they run..I made a very caustic remark on the one i saved regarding hwo many commercials run now..any more questions?

John Seigenthaler became weekend anchor after Brian Williams (former weekend anchor) took over after Brokaw retired. Lester Holt is now the weekend anchor on Nightly News.
