Inspired by Johnny Lee I picked up my own code I never finished a year ago. This demo builds on the previous Virtual Window demo where the user is presented with a world inside the monitor. Perspective changes as the user moves using the aid of a TrackIR head tracking device. This version is mathematically accurate and the grid box is firmly locked to the screen.

This demo combines 3D movement with 3D sound and doppler effects. Pitty the camera microphone is not too great.

The goal of the game concept is to dodge the meteors. Of course you could also make them targets.

  • I am jealous but very angry that this is the same demo over and over again. I don't understand why you guys don't see the potential of this technology pass the obvious gimmicks. But I'm tired of waiting, if you want something done, you bitch about it on youtube, then do it yourself.

  • @inovatvstdios Look further. You should find that this is an implementation that has been build from the ground up using Delphi. Check out my other demo videos before you start crying. you should find a multi screen demo that nobody has done and even a downloadable program for you to try it.

  • @dinther That inovatv in my name isn't a gimmick. I stopped hardcore programming because it was getting ridiculous to put together anything remotely impressive on your own. Now we have so many open source options that I'm going to give it another go. This is no different from all the multi touch, accelerometer gimmicks. I'm not trying to take away from your work or deride your accomplishment but after going so far, a few more inches would have made this intellectual property, not another "meh"

  • @inovatvstdios Good luck

  • nice done but in space there is no sound :D

  • So true, but on my Holodeck mark V there is sound. In 5D no less.

  • @supervoltage90 because you can't look at full screen applications and the data behind them at the same time

  • @bloacatera maybe he is on a planet with a zero gravity atmosphere.... lol

  • @inovatvstdios /watch?NR=1&v=1h6flz7XvVk

  • @dinther where can I download this program

  • HOLY SHIT LOOK OUT YOU'RE GOING TO GET HIT BY A ROCK!

  • I never understood why people need multiple screens... Why not do everything on one screen?

  • can i download it?

  • Sony and microsoft really should be putting their money into this type of 3d as opposed to what they have been working on. If you are going to have to wear glasses anyway, might as well make them headtracking

  • @Clod15 Sound waves are moving through dense matter (as air, water etc.) by definition. Enormous waves in black hole's gravity field are not sound in any way.

I dunno where've you read that, but blogs about the popular science are no good for your brains. Just forget it and go reading Wikipedia, Scientific American, Nature, Cochrane library or whatever you're interested in.
