Great performance: the instrumental version of "Frederick", building to an orgasmic, musical climax into "Prove It All Night".
The 'future of rock n roll' back in the day.

Thx for this GREAT video from Greece. What i don't understand is why you don't mention the E Street Band on the title.

Nice triangle work. I think my next guitar will have to be a Telecaster.

He really is...The boss!

Bruce rips in this one. most people don't realize what a great lead player he is. But he's smart. He knows he's a singer songwriter first and foremost as well as a great entertainer. If only Clapton played with as much passion like everyone thinks he does.

I didn't realise Springsteen was such a good lead player, I thought he only played rhythm?

@mrgb46 It will

it is happening this november!

@fanof41 'Frederick' happens to be a copy of a Springsteen riff, not the other way around.

I wonder if this performance will be included in the deluxe edition of Darkness on the Edge of Town reissue??
I believe he refers to Monroe Louisiana to Angeline Texas.. I know during that time in his life he drove thru the US just taking in the country,,

Thanks very much for posting. I saw Bruce for the first time in Seattle in Dec 1978, and this really brings back the memories. That was a crazy show-- they did two encores, including odd stuff like Pretty Flamingo. Prove it all night was one of the highlights for me. This video is obviously from the same tour. Dang, those guys look young!

Dont you just love the way they started that song back then, slow drums and the Big man adding some fill then Bruce comes in with a pounding lead intro..They now do it different and it is still a great song but this is best in my book.
Thanks!
