When I was a child my mom would rock me (and encourage me to sing along with her) and this song along with "My Happiness" and "A-You're Adorable" were my favorites.

When I first arrived in America from Scotland in 1960 I was 14. The family

I lived with played this and I memorized

it and sang or hummed it whereever I

went. It was so special from all of the music I grew up with in Scotland, and

it still is very special.

My father's mother used to sing this to my little sister, when we were very little. It's one of the few things I remember about her. She called my little sister her little "sweat pea" and sang that song to her.
