I miss this guy. I saw him in Los Angeles at the Whiskey in 1979 ... I was so impressed, I tried hard to experience life as he did (found out too late, this lifestyle becomes intemperate...his did and so did mine.) He was my anti-hero. his poetry will always bombard and exhilarate my head. RIP Jim You certainly did "Make Allies in Heaven and Comrades in hell".

I was shocked to hear about Jim's death. He was my favorite poet of all time; his words touch the soul. I met him during the time this video was made through my friend, Justine and her boyfriend, Paul. I wonder what happened to them; it's been 25 years. God Bless Jim who finally gets to play with the angels.
