The Devil is in the details or in this case the documents - Emails - and if there is one thing the City is good at, its hiding the facts that damn them.

Leadership is from the top down.
Many thanks to Mississauga Watch for working up the video and doing - posting the video transcript on her BLOG - www.mississaugawatch.ca/blog/?p=8291.
I have checked out the facts about City hall E-mails, as I recall Councillor Parrish raised the issue of City staff snooping in Councillors E-mails and it was noted that the main system stores copies of all E-mails, regardless if they were deleted from a persons computer. A common business practice. Also, E-mails are the easiest and cheapest communications to store, so why are they the first to go?
By the way I tried using a FOI Request to get a list of all the gifts the Mayor gets from developers - no records are kept.
Thanks to Watcher for audiotaping/videotaping this March 4, 2010 proceeding.
Regarding Hazel McCallion's record-keeping... quote:
"Once emails are printed off they are deleted from the system. They aren't archived. The Mayor doesn't use email. All email sent to the Mayor's email account are opened and read by the Mayor's executive assistant and are given to the Mayor either directly or through daily mail log. The Mayor's office does not keep electronic copies of any emails or responses."
