Do you think a 170 mile, 3hr trip with a couple stop breaks would be rough on you?

Honestly, if you are looking for a bike to do a lot of freeway, get a klr650 or vstrom 650. The drz will hit 80, and can go 70-75, but it is pushing hard. The seat is narrow and uncomfortable for anything over like 30 miles. Offroad and true dual purpose use, nothing beats it. But if you're looking for a commuter (at least with any long distances) get a different bike. In the case of my video, I will smash home on the freeway for maybe 10 miles if I feel too lazy to take street

Look up a MRA ST windscreen, they are very short but take off allot of windblast for the freeway, and don't affect your trailriding. Padded bike shorts help too with those famous 2x4 suzuki seats. U Got me thinking of selling my 05 650 for a 400, but I got tons of upgrades on it, but I miss the lighter weight of my old dr350 for trailriding. hmmm, wonder if I could retrofit my tm40 pumper carb to a 400,LOL.Have fun and watch out for them crazy cagers!
Extremely... For me at least. 100 mile dirt rides are about the limit for me. The seat KILLS your ass. 70 miles= 1 week in prison. Add another week per 30 miles. I have. Stock seat so maybe not as bad with others, but i dont have a need to throw down 2-300 on a seat to only be comfy for n additionl 50 miles or so.

i was looking to get one of these cause most of the dual sport bikes are 250's and are too slow for the freeway. 80 mph really doesnt sound much faster than most of the 250's tho...how does it do keeping up on the freeway? how is the gas mileage

@matt25675 But I have ridden my bike 60 miles on freeway to work round trip, but again, will the bike do it? -Yes. Will you be comfortable, and is it made to do it?- No.
