Global Village School Homeschool Founder, Sally Carless, Earns Peace Award

Each year, the Coalition honors a local individual who works for and exhibits peace in their lives. The nomination cited Carlesss attention to peace and justice issues through the establishment and continued operation of the Ojai-based Global Village School, an international K-12 homeschool diploma program with a creative flexible approach and an emphasis on peace, justice, diversity, and sustainability.

So pleased to have Global Village School and Sally recognized for the incredible work that they do. On a visit to the Global Village School office, Sally pointed out many of the texts that are used in the curriculum. Will always remember her statement "We teach kids how to think not what to think." Keep up the great work!
