@GeneralBurkhalter1 I really do not care, if the land was disputed. I only care about the need of living space for our United States of America. We also needed to acquire Cuba for the expansion of slavery. This is well stated in the Ostend Manisfesto. Unfortunately, our failure to expand into the Carribean Sea resulted in the Cuban Missile Crisis.

My position still stands. It wasn't souly our land, it was disputed. They didnt "Invade our country" in fact, they had troops there before we ordered troops there. They had troops on the border for years, since the Texans rebelled.

The Russians were set to invade German-Occupied Poland only THREE WEEKS after the Germans invaded Poland, and subsequently pushed all the way to the gates of Moscow before the breaches of the Tank Guns froze shut!

The land was Disputed, it wasn't Souly ours, the land was never "decided upon" who owned it, thats why is Disputed. You can't say they invaded our territory when we both claim it, thats simply not fair.
