As much as I like Paul Burke, I prefer Robert Lansing's intensity and depth. I also heard a rumor that in addition to Quinn Martin and Robert Lansing not getting along, Lansing was let go because QM thought women would be more attracted to the more "leading man" looks of Paul Burke.

@MidnhtCrzr Well put , I couldn't have said it better. I also remember watching every episode with my older brother. What good memories !

It was a top-notch music score! I've remembered it ever since!

WOW! What memories! I remember watching this show with my brother; I feel like I'm 5-yrs old all over again. They sure don't make shows like this anymore. Paul Burke was better than Robert Lansing, and 12 O'clock High was Burke's most famous role. Certain shows of the past, like Hawaii Five-0 and Dark Shadows are being remade with updated technology. I hope 12 O'clock high will be redone with CGI and other forms of today's high tech.

Robert Lansing isn't in this episode because he'd been fired after a salary dispute. Paul Burke replaced him for the remainder of the series' run.

The indignity!! They did not give Lansing a death scene for Gral. Sanage

This was the episode that Paul Burke officially toke over as lead actor of the series.
Do you have the rest of the episode to post.
