Are you worried about your Social Security and Medicare? Would you prefer to see an increase in taxes or a reduction in benefits to help solve this problem? Do you think we should revisit the idea of privatizing Social Security?
Why would any person not want SS privatized? It comes down to would you rather own assets or have the government own those assets. When I talk with young people that are opposed (mainly because it was a Bush proposal) to privatizing, I ask them to explain and they just can't articulate their position as it is a position that has been ingrained into them. Our country is going down.
@dershope yes its really scary, there are still quite a few of us in the US that are still capable of thinking, and seeing things for what they are, but most of us now, are brainwashed sheep who think that the government is nothing more than a surrogate mother who will always "be there" to take care of them. To turn the US around would require that the majority of americans pull their head out of their asses and wake up, im not confident that it will happen....
WOW! Are all Americans really this brainwashed and dependent on their Govt? I'm speechless. I would wager that all if not the majority of the people in this video were products of the American School systems after the implementation of the Department of Education. They must be. How else could they all be so clueless as to blindly believe in what Uncle Sam is telling them?
Once again most people have allowed their attention to be diverted from the real culprit in the social security debacle! The
problems with S.S. can be summed up in one word and that word is "congress"! Congress is full of crooks and people with
no integrity, they have repeatedly raided S.S. and other programs to fund their special interest boondoggles, and if the American people don't force "term limits" on these legalized criminals we will eventually lose the republic!
HARDLY-I work hard for a living. If you read what I stated-privatization of social security would mean people living off of $25 a month - with our illustrious stock market.
