Movie recorded at the annual 5th "Blues and Boogie Reunion" Concert in Terrassa, a town in Spain about 25 km's outside Barcelona.
Fabrice Eulry is a french pianist who has lived in Tunisia, New Orleans and Paris.
He is one of the most strongest and energetic pianists on the festival circuit, and in that respect is often compared to Jerry Lee Lewis.
A truly amazing improviser of virtually all styles of piano music, for all I know the piece on the video may have been played for the first and only time that night {although if it does have a proper title, someone feel free to let me know?!}.
Anyway, whatever it's called, the piece has a great 'ragtime' feel to it at the start, before the fast and furious {but beautifully played!!} 'stride' music kicks in around the 4 minutes mark.

This is not ragtime at all. Again, the difference is in the feel, execution, and most significantly, in what is played by the right hand. Many of the left-hand "stride" patterns are interchangeable within many vintage popular piano styles. Thanks for the post!

This tune is "China Boy", composed by Phil Boutelje. I would call this more of a Teddy Wilson -influenced 1930s swing style than an actual stride style, but this is a nice Jazz performance of this standard.
