This bike was built from the ground up. With about a 6 month build time, starting July 2010. The only thing I did not do myself was chrome the rims and powdercoat the frame itself.

  • I really like the look and the sound. What did you use for the throttle, air filter assembly and brand of exhaust? I just bought a '66 250 sprint and a '67 350 sprint. I am going to need some pointers on what after market parts may work for these dinosaurs. Any tips would be welcome. mtnsnakeman@yahoo.com

  • @mtnsnakeman First of all...thanks. I actually swapped the 7/8 in handlebars for 1 in bars so, I found a 1 in throttle assy. The control cables from the handlebars were actually cables I bought from a local bicycle repair shop, I just got the biggest and strongest ones they had. The motor had the stock header pipe on it and, I just slid a "fish tip" exhaust pipe over the end of it. As for the air filter, I went to the local hardware store for the actual filter.

  • @mtnsnakeman (cont'd) I just found a filter from a lawn mower that fit. I then had a buddy laser cut the cover on top of the filter out of a sheet of 1/8in stainless. I then found bolts to fit all of it with the existing screw holes that held the original filter on. Check out Lancaster Sprint online for any of those crazy hard to find parts. I also have parts, frames, and motors for a 61, 64, 66, and another 68 if you might need anything. Just let me know. Good luck! groundpounder05@yahoo

  • Nice sound to it looks great

  • @drgnriderx Thanks. It wasn't idling in the video as good as it does now. I've done some work like new points and working out the carb a little more.

  • Way Cool. First one ive seen like this.

  • @stephendpruitt Thanks, brother. First bike I have ever built.

  • do you have anything that will work, I have 3 or four dellorto carbs to other Aermacchi's I could trade. Or buy what you have. My carb is a UB24B2. I have a really nice complete ME18BS that came off a 125 Rapido will that work you think or because its a 2 stroke carb it wont? You can reply to mtnsnakeman@yahoo.com Thank you, Gary C.

  • Thanks for your reply back. The only thing I found I really need now is carb parts or a complete carb that will work. I tore down the carb that was on my '66 and found allot of original parts had been half hazardly swapped out with carb parts that dont even fit or go to the carb. The needle jet, throttle slide, choke, and top to the the throttle assembly dont go to this carb and the original parts are missing.
