Man, I just don't GETTIT; Is there a principle so dear that disallows using handtools to improve a trail, or otherwise making a maneuver easier, or even possible? Seems, with so many offroaders I see its all about the vehicle, tire grip, suspension, torque and even skill, and NOT getting the vehicle to go where you want in the easiest, most efficient manner. Personally, I think you get more out of hiking such as when the track ends than spending your whole time behind the wheel.
