  • I'm not a Romney supporter, but let's be fair to the guy....all he said was he's not concerned about the welfare of the poor because of the social safety net. This comment has been of course taken out of context. He didn't say he doesn't care about the poor. Why don't people stop lying and instead try to work together?

  • I don't know why Hartman loves Jefferson. his ideal was small government. but his presidency was VERY Hamiltonian. Jefferson is my least favorite founder, he had the audacity to call Hamilton a traitor and a british spy but himself never fired a shot in the entire revolution

  • fuck jefferson. he was a slave owner and is irrelevent. history has whitewashed much of his "legacy" to the point where he has become a demi-god. he owned slaves and refused to publicly speak out against the injustice. and yes, i am aware that a lot of people owned slaves back then. but they were wrong for it. some of the founding men didn't own slaves and/or spoke out publicly against it. TJ did not. he was scared to be judged.

  • Does this idiot realize that Comparing Thomas Jefferson to Romney is not comparable? Now comparing Obama to Romney is doable.

Healthcare, big spending, war mongering, tax cuts for the rich, both of which advocate all.

  • Amen! Let the physical religious war begin! We need BLOOD to water our tree of liberty!

  • Apparently we can never stop being vigilant against the wolves.

  • Most middle class people think like Romney when it comes to the poor. I live around, have helped and work with "The new poor" - former middle class people hit by the economy. They are aghast at the lack of resource and assistance, because they've been told all their lives that the poor are getting a free ride off of their backs, and now they're finding that the opposite is true. There is no middle class American who works as hard and ethically as someone from "the working poor".

  • @sinistar99 I've been racking my brain since making this comment and yes it is interesting and apparently there were 13 tribes if I remember right. You are right about ;property. They had/have different beliefs and couldn't understand the concept of owning land but would fight as one nation if threatened which is the reason for uniting in the remote past."The last of the Mohicans" was based loosely on them...I remember now, Judge N. on Fox's Freedom Watch is where I heard this story..

  • @sparrow053 That's very interesting! I get the idea that the Native Americans didn't have the same idea of personal property that we do either. I'd like to find out more about pre-colonial culture of North America.

  • from a slave holding,rich white dude-mmm
