  • I have watched this entire commercial edition and it is fantastic! A great historical document that we must thank Victor Jessen for having the collection of different performances taped and put together. To all ballet lovers this is a must to watch. Here you won't care about technique, correct 5ths, etc. It is all enchanting, fresh, danced melodiously, with passion and lots of love. Miss Danilova is what dance is all about. Beautiful! Do not miss it. Thank you for sharing these clips.

  • Can't someone start a group to convince the powers that be to give Frederic Franklin a Kennedy Center award??? Is he not considered and American by now???

  • What A treat and I was probably born years later 1948 to be exact. Why do these people from the past appear as if they are gods? That what they are doing seems too good to be true in todays world or unattainable in todays world. The beauty and artistry of it makes one only think of goodness.

  • Always adorable !

    Thanks.

  • I'm in total agreement that Freddy Franklin should receive an award.

I agree that Freddy Franklin should receive a Kennedy Center Award. Sadly, and this is just my opinion, dance is becoming so, so low in its presentation to the general public via television that Tyce (aka Keith) D'Iorio is more likely to get a Kennedy Center Honor than Freddy.

  • Absolutely brilliant. Have just rented a DVD about the Ballet Russe and there was a small clip of this on it. I had to look it up as I so loved the way they move together and the beautiful music

  • I just LOVE the two of them dancing together !! It's beautiful ! Thanks again !
