Just the title and content of this shows a huge lack of understanding. Pirates aren't competing against greens, or anyone else. There's nothing in the pirate platform that contradicts the greens platforms, hence this is why you see candidates running for office that are both Green Party AND Pirate Party. You can be BOTH. You could also be a Pirate/Democrat, or even Pirate/Communist or anything else. So seriously, get off your high horse.

gordonmcdowell- Should this country based on on issue? Every leader respects all the points she makes. But, is she really a leader for this country. Not a One Trick Pony.

gordonmcdowell - That is why as Canadians we do not elect a single action party candidate. Nothing against Elizabeth May, but she never grew up in Canada, so it easy for her to look from an ivory tower and judge us.

As a recently new member of the Pirate Party of Canada, I'm happy to know how the green party feels about copy right laws and I'm sure there could be some co-operation if both parties had seats in parliament.

The gay president elected in the region Puglia, considered a consevative and catholic region of the South of Italy, Nichi Vendola, have shocked Italy. The party created by youngs is called Left Ecology and freedom and it was sponosred with facebook!

This fat lady is about to fall down and pass out. I don't trust her to fight for anything and win.

the Canadian pirate party is running and gaining support
i like the green party, although Elizabeth May "pfft we dont need her we have better"
It's fantastic that the Green Party supports patent and copyright reform, but I'm not sure I agree that there's no need for a Canadian Pirate Party. A single-issue party may not be able to elect a member, but they can definitely raise public awareness of the issue - if it hadn't been for all the recent talk about a Canadian Pirate Party, would we have had this video?

True. Canadians talking about their own Pirate Party brought the question to my mind quicker than news about Sweden. I've signed up on the Pirate Party forum to see what's going on. It is quite possible if any sane-copyright educational material is created by either party, it could be leveraged by either party. The first-past-the-post concerns only become an issue if both parties are running candidates in a single riding. Hopefully there's be communication around that.
