Oh, yeah, he's fantastic here! I just mean I've never seen him do anything pre-20th-century. And I've seen all the Kronos documentaries/videos. So my brain can't process him playing Brahms; I keep expecting him to break into Black Angels....

Ha!! Major cognitive dissonance, seeing Kronos violist play Brahms! That said, gorgeous performance. My favorite version after Jessye Norman + Wolfram Christ (which is also here on YT).
