  • Very good and instructional.

If you are replacing the SC board, you do not have to remove the SU and SD boards first. When the SC board connectors are unfastened, and the SC board screws removed, the SC board will slide away from the mounted SU and SD boards. By keeping the SU and SD boards undisturbed, it will help prevent the ribbon cable problem mentioned in the video. If those ribbon cables get damaged in any way, the whole plasma panel will have to be replaced.

  • @tomwil2012 Thanks for the info. That would make this job easier!

  • my panny is a few years old, i got it fro ma mate, the light blinks 5 times, any tips, ( pleaswe dont say bin it lol!)

is it a power supply fault?

  • @zoody1 This is what I found, Missing P5V

    5 BLINKS

    P5V from the A board

    Reasons:

    • The A board is not generating the 5V

    • The 5V is been affected by the SC, SS, A, or C2

    SC,SS C2

    A ¤

board (A short circuit of the P5V). Wrong diagnostic by the A board

  • So why didnt you show the tv working?

  • @BATMEX44 Probably should have. Had to do a lot of editing to keep it under 10min. Maybe should have made it a 2 part video. Maybe I will put that together in the future.

  • hello nice video// i have 12 blinks led// do you know what it is./? i cant find the service manual i have tcp50c2

  • @imbillmoney I am not sure how to do a hard restart. I know the 7 blinks can mean that one or a couple of boards are bad. I read through it really quick at about 1:08 in the video. Double check your connections. Is the replacement SC board new or did you buy it used. Maybe the replacement is also bad. Sorry I can't be more help.

  • Your video is very instructional. Do you know how to hard reset a panasonic viera 50" TV? Panasonic sent a repair man and told me that my SC board was bad. I replaced it and still have 7 blinking lights. I thought maybe the I just need to do a hard/factory reset to get it to read the new board. Panasonic Viera TC-50PS14. Model Number for SC Board was TNPA4782AB

  • This helped me out a lot!

I had the 7 blinks problem on a Panasonic TH50-PZ85U. I replaced the SU board, then had the pinstriping problem. I followed your advice and got rid of the horizontal stripes!

Like you said, to get the ribbon cables in properly, you have to put the ribbon cables into the connectors , keeping them low and close to the circuit board as you do so.

I found if you have the cable in the connector properly, you'll feel a positive "click" as you close the connector down.

  • good one
