How come the earth turns around the sun do you think?
You're right when you say that while drifting in space far from any celestial body, it is not naturally obvious what is "down", and nearing a celestial body in that position is popularly called "going towards" celestial body X, rather than "down to" celestial body X. I don't know of an absolute border though.

@myusernameisluc Well there is on the moon. But not in space itself. The bigger the mass of the planet (or moon) the more gravity it has. If your in space with no grav, is there really a direction "down" ?
-
"There is no gravity"? This is even better than I expected, thanks!

@myusernameisluc gravity, and gravity is a natural phenomenon by which physical bodies attract with a force proportional to their mass.
Copied from Wiki to avoid looking dumb because i wasnt planning on responding

A simple remote controlled slow-scan TV camera installed at an equipment pallet, the Modular Equipment Stowage Assembly MESA, that was folded down by gravity, when Armstrong pulled a simple lanyard while standing on top of the ladder.
