Auschwitz November 1944 - De dagelijkse taak van de SS kampbewaarders bestaat er in de grote toestroom joden, zigeuners en andere gevangenen in goede banen te leiden. Iedere dag arriveren er honderden nieuwe mensen en minstens de helft daarvan zal hun eerste dag na aankomst niet overleven. De druk op de kampbewaarders is erg groot omdat de capaciteit van zowel de gaskamers als van de verbrandingsovens gewoon niet toereikend is om dit aantal te bereiken, hoe hard ze ook werken. Auschwitz is een shockerende verfilming van de controversiële regisseur Uwe Boll (Bloodrayne, In the name of the king) over de dagelijkse gang van zaken binnen het vernietigingskamp Auschwitz. De film wordt ingeleid door Uwe Boll en zowel aan het begin als aan het einde toegelicht met authentiek beeldmateriaal en interviews met scholieren die hun kennis over de vernietigingskampen bespreken.

Hate to say this, this trailer left a good taste in my mouth!? But I do have low expectations for the film itself

As someone that's spent a ton of time studying the war and what happened during the 12 years or so the Nazi's were in power. I think anyone that makes a holocaust movie needs to have some tact. And understanding of how to tell a story, and how to make a film watchable, which Boll does not have. It's a shame he's so clueless of why people say he's bad. He's simply not talented. He has no skill. His movies are like watching first year film student projects. /facepalm

@MrSaucybottoms Just look at the trailer. It really looks like everything else he's made before (cheap and cheesy). The nationality of the filmmaker should have very little to do with the country where the events he's describing have occured. Anyone can make a meaningful movie about concentration camps, given that they are good filmmakers. You're not lacking intelligence, me neither - it is called expressing your opinion.

@pouelchnu A German man making a documentary film about a large piece of German history is comaparable to war crimes? Appalling? His other films aside, this is a serious film that was meant to teach about something that not a lot of people know the true facts of. Your lack of intelligence and common sense is what's appalling here.
