Billboard Country Singles Top 50 May 13, 1978

Hello ! 2nd week of May 1978. I bet you can't guess who jumps into the Top Ten this week with not 1 but 2 hits ? Talk about fired up. It's also his 3rd trip to the Top Ten this year and he streaks onto the Country Album chart with the "high"est debut of the week. Who had the #1 Country Single this week in 1975 ? That man drops out of the Top 20 with his latest country hit. Who has topped the Country Chart 23 times ? That man is in the Top 20 with his latest smash. A year earlier, a woman was on top of the Country Album Survey with her very first #1 Country Album. That woman also went to #1 again later on in the year and the 2nd single from that new album is in the Top Ten. So much action. 7 New Songs enter and 7 fall out.

Last week, "Hearts On Fire" by Eddie Rabbitt was still smoldering at #3 (down from his peak at #2) Stepping up to #2 - "She Can Put Her Shoes Under My Bed (Anytime) by Johnny Duncan. And at #1 , the double-sided smash, "It's All Wrong, But It's All Right/ Two Doors Down" by Dolly Parton. Will that smash "rack" up another week on Top. Or could somebody "Knocker" out of the #1. Do u get it ? I'm a card ain't i ? Several mistakes....commentary in the video left over from last week, "Maybe Baby" by Susie Allanson ties for the Biggest Drop of the week. God, what is wrong with me, all these mistakes i really need to quit drinking so much ! It's starting to affect my work ! I'm just kidding.
