The second Imageography project (still images made to produce a video) completed by Leigh and I.
The scene is set in Namba Station, Osaka, Japan in the OCAT walkway. Please enjoy and make comments! We'd love to hear how this short piece makes you feel, all comments are really appreciated.
Check out our 1st project Relent. too!
Creation and video collaboration by Leigh and Morgan
Dancer: Brinson Leigh Kresge
Photography: Morgan Pace Bolton
Music: Tortoise "I set my face to the hillside"
Morgan, this is amazingly lovely and poignant.
I found the beginning a bit slow; the wait for Leigh would have been easier if the passersby were a bit more interesting. I think you could have begun the video at about 0:42 (with the music and images at that exact point) and ended at 6:05.
That said, when she starts dancing, it's incredible. The music you chose flows so well with Leigh's gorgeous motions. GREAT job! Only in Japan could you have no one react to a randomly dancing girl. =)P

lovely. The elements came together really well. I love that hardly anyone seemed to notice/pay attention to the white girl in a white dress dancing around the subway! :)
