Imagine this: Put "Top Gun: The 2nd Mission" and "The Adventures Of Bayou Billy" together in a blender and add a breeze of improvement: Laser Invasion is your game.

Laser Invasion (also known as Gun Sight in Japan) is a flight simulator / rail shooter / action game for the NES, developed by Konami and released by Ultra Games in 1991. The story involves the vicious "Sheik Toxic Moron", who desires world domination. Therefore he threatens the world with his ultimate weapon: "The TechnoScorch Missile" which is capable of travelling 37,000 miles in excatly 13.8 seconds. No one is safe. To put an end of the Sheiks masterplan, leaders from across the globe gathered together to choose the man / woman with the skills to counter him. Who they choose? Check your birth certificate, and look at the information written beside "name".

Laser Invasion is a very good game I recommend PAL gamers to import. The game may be short with only 4 missions but it still provides a lot of fun.

Btw. the game uses the Nintendo MMC5 controller which was used to enhance the games graphics (more tlies per screen etc.) aswell as a RAM enhancement and audio expansion (does only work on a Famicom). However it's high costs made the developers avoid it.
