Imagine a classroom with nearly 100 students in it. They don't sit at desks; they all sit in long rows on uncomfortable benches. They have books provided for them, but they don't have notebooks, laptops, or writing utensils for taking notes or assessing their comprehension of the lessons. The teacher never works one on one with the students and doesn't even talk to them on an individual basis except for while they are arriving and departing from class. Most importantly, the class never gets an opportunity to raise hands and ask questions in case there is confusion on the information presented- which is inevitable if a teacher addresses a massive number of randomly assembled students without the ability to appeal to their individual learning styles. Everybody has to sit quietly and listen to the teacher's lecture. They can follow along with the text in their books, and sometimes there might be a power point screen, but that's it for visual aids and learning accommodations. If students are confused, they just have to figure it out for themselves, and the there's no way to tell if they didn't get it because there is no assessment or evaluation during or at the end of the lesson. The teacher just assumes that every student in the building got the information right based on hearing it once, after doing nothing but lecture, put ample time aside for praising the subject, and collecting fees for the class. Also, the class only happens once a week, but it goes on all year long- every Sunday morning.

  • Why are the videos on your page not in any obvious order? I find it hard to look for your latest videos.

  • @PrivateJoker17 They are arranged in play lists.

  • @GrapplingIgnorance I know, but there doesn't seem to be any order in those playlists, if they were arranged by newest to oldest or vice versa that would be much easier.

  • @PrivateJoker17 At the top of the page, to the write of the subscribe button, click uploads instead of playlists. You can then arrange the list at the right by date uploaded, most viewed, and top rated.

  • As an Pastor's kid that's an atheist, I can assure you that the stuff about no notebooks & writing utensils and the pastor "doesn't even talk to them on an individual basis" or answer questions isn't always the case. But yeah, the other parts are spot on. With all the "Purpose-Driven-Please keep attending, we're still relevant" crap I feel as if Church and Bible study was where I learned the least about the Bible and Christianity than anywhere else.

  • @ShadowPa1adin Every pastor, priest, reverend, church etc. is different. Some are willing to spend more time dealing with individual issues than others.

  • Yes, I am forced to go to church. And on Sundays we are not allowed to ask questions. Wednesdays are a different story, but if the question steers too far away from the lesson being taught, we just move on and say, "Well we could talk about this all day, we need to get back on task." Church is such an entertaining place, and nothing more.

  • @GrapplingIgnorance I look pretty stupid now haha, thanks man!

  • Depends on where you go.

  • I was kind of like "wait, I don't understand what you're ta- " Then I realized that you were talking about church.

Well, atleast with church, you don't have to turn in any classroom assignments. But god, it's like listening to a bunch of zombies that are being controlled by a hooded man in a cage to protect himself from the zombies while he's brainwashing them.

  • @SDBPR Use it for whatever you wish. Just cite its source.
