I'm not sure if it's 'anti-bourgeois behavior', but most people do that as a non-verbal cue. Maybe Chomsky has something in his teeth... or Foucault wants Chomsky to think he has something in his teeth! That would be a pretty low blow!

Yeah I was thinking about this in the Chomsky/Foucault debate, I think it's just an idiosyncracy. I like the Edith Piaf.
