A short documentary film selected by New Filmmakers Summer festival 2011.
[Synopsis] : At 10 a.m. in Washington Square Park of downtown NYC, a guy is dragging an upright piano into the park. As soon as he starts to play his piano, the place magically transforms into an auditorium. Without tickets, huge posters, even words or any prejudice, his playing is open to all who enjoy music.
His name is Colin Huggins.
Through this short documentary film, you will see who the hell the guy is. If you get what does the 'FTW' tattoo mean to him, you could understand his philosophy. He is going to tell us about not only the reason why he plays his piano in parks but also his life. We will see how his past life was, how his present life is, and also how his future life would be, with music.
You can watch the film on July 5, at 8:15PM, @ Courthouse theater (Anthology Film Archives, 32 Second ave., New York.) Ticket pricing: $6.
