  • ok how can you say not to use negative riforcement but let them sit in their own urine or feces that is contracdicting. that is child abuse to make them sit in urine or feces for 10 - 15 minutes as well as a great way to cause infections and low self esteem you can not say do not use negative reiforcement but make your child uncombfortable but letting them sit in feces or urine this is excreted from the body for a reason I hope no one does this to their child seriously

  • @lilysinlove4 When they poop or pee in their diapers, most times the parents aren't aware right away and they end up sitting in their pee/poop for a little bit anyway. - It's no different. It's really not child abuse and I doubt sitting there for a few minutes is going to cause any infections. And kids aren't that complexed at that age for them to think that hard about it for it to cause low self esteem....I think you're being a little mellow dramatic.

  • I wish you ppl would stop arguing with each other. Why can't ppl get along anymore. I'm trying to learn how to potty train my boy cause I love him and I want to do what's best for him but all I see is parents arguing instead of working with each other. :(

  • um ok

  • yeah but my little sister sits there and doesnt mind

  • @tatsudoshi65 I was going to say the same thing as this commenter. Worst case you might have some diaper rash, same as a baby. No big deal. But the point the woman is trying to make is don't berate the kid for an accident, and especially don't humiliate them in public when they might already feel bad, BUT, at home, you have more leeway to let them have the sensation of the pee/poo in their pants so they get trained over time to get to the toilet faster to avoid that unpleasant feeling.

  • Whatever you do, don't tell them about the monster that lives in the toilet.

  • im with u both
