Garry Shider Tribute Video #2: Live in Houston, TX, 1984. "You Should Nuf Bit Fish" Tour. With Bennie Cowan, Greg Boyer and the P-Funk Horns, also featuring Ray Davis and Bernie Worrell.
It really didnt have anything do with who was around...Eddie was playing with these guys on and off about 15 years... you can find videos of Hampton playing over Eddie Numerous times.. they really treated the guy like shit... Eddie Hazel is a criminally underrated guitarist, ive digged about as much music from him as I can.. If you can find it Pfunk has a DOwnloadable Unrealeased Outtakes and Demo floating around the Internet.. Eddie Is all over it.. its great stuff.
well i think it all depended on who was availible but i could be wrong. ive met michael and hes a cool guy who not head trippin. i got toys by funkadelic recently and the early funkadelic is great. but i love it all. nothing wrong with that. the only way to hear the early funkadelic band is the recordings of them now. george and billy bass hugged on the 2-1-11 criag ferguson show so hopefully things are better between them. im no expert on them but they are my favorite band.
@ccfunk1 Beverly Theater verison of Cosmic Slop is just insane..I wish they used Eddie more live than George Did..really upsets me Hampton normally got the lead on Maggot Brain and Cosmic Slop...and your right about the arrangement of this Verison to the Beverly Verison.
this show is structured like the live at the beverly theater cd show. a excellent video of those days. thank you for posting these. much respect. garry shider fly on.

Da Funk never goes out of style. Yes, there definitely needs to be some high quality DVD releases of PFunk.

Rodney Skeet Curtis needs a mention, his bassline, in this tune, just flows magically from one note to the next!
