Please pardon that this upload does little justice to the actual smooth animation. Again based very loosely on Charles Dickens classic in a lighter tone for kids show. This series is not to be taken as a literary alternative.

Very impressive character designs and marvelous voice acting. One of my favorite anime voice actors, Mona Marshall provides the voice of Oliver. Televised the same time American Tail Fievel Goes West was released. This series is not yet on DVD. Hopefully this will spark interest in a DVD release.

There is a boy called charlie in the orginial. He is the boy with oliver and dodger in the scene where oliver gets cought by Mr Brownlow

I'm not sure if that's the case. It might still be owned by Disney, however Cookie Jar has just aquired DiC and all their shows. Most of those shows' music was developed by Haim Saban and Shuki Levy, so there cartoons must now be part of the same catalog, however I'm unsure, Disney may still have the rights to Saban's catalog, minus the DiC cartoons. This was released in the UK on one volume on DVD (now out of print), but other episodes are planned for release supposedily.
