A Way To Dry Glasses Using Water - Eco Friendly! Green!

Howdy Folks,
This is a way I figured out to wash glasses after I heard it could be done. No tissues! Just water. It takes just the same amount of water as it would if you washed them the normal way and then dried them with something.

PS. I bought these glasses for $40 at zennioptical.com - lenses and frames! The black ones I wear in some of my videos were $12.

What kind of soap do you use? Antibacterial or soft soap? Or some other kind?

I used regular Walmart brand hand soap. I often use dish soap, though.

It's too bad about your lenses. My experience has been quite different, having used dish detergent and water on premium coated lenses for many years with great results. The coatings will eventually degrade, regardless of the cleaning method, but should last for years using abrasive free soap and water, and avoiding rubbing (which guarantees streaked lenses). I have always blotted my lenses dry (until this excellent video). .

Soap takes off the protective coatings of the glasses. I used it and it messed them up.

Windex™ or Dial™, does it matter? From elsewhere:

My specs went missing some time ago (couple years?) so my private mini-lesson was finding this method works great on cheap sunglasses too, which usually have plastic lenses that scratch quite easily. Rubbing paper on any kind of lens (wet or dry) is often risky, unless it is 'lens paper' intended for such use. Even glass will scratch if everything is not perfectly clean and free of abrasive particles. Such a dirty world, isn't it? :-D
