What makes a hero?

What do you think about Hamas and Palestinian forces who hid there faces yet call themselves "heroes"?
Do some use the term in a way that puts people to shame?

There's a big difference between the religion and his (miss)interpretation.

Most of the big religions are based on the jewish. So the differences aren't verry big, but their interpretation. However every religion abused. (for example the christian in the middleages)
