Australian Story - Peter Andrews Natural Sequence Farming

Four years ago Australian Story featured a farmer called Peter Andrews who seemed to have a rare ability to transform degraded Australian landscapes into thriving oases.

He called it natural sequence farming and it was producing some spectacular results. But for nearly thirty years, Peter Andrews' work was rejected by scientists, bureaucrats and politicians alike until the evidence became difficult to ignore.

violeta1940 I came to know about Peter Andrew story about a month ago and I got

very interested because is the first time that I know that some one who loves the farms has the strenght of faiting back asking to be heard, appears that nobody wants to know about the health of the planet??? all around there are people trying to be heard about the love for rural life, only to be forgotten 5 minutes later.

I want to share rural life tell me what can I do 30 years of experience and no where to go.

Government survives on disaster, they like the landscape destroyed, it makes them feel powerful. Like how they as a political party alone can solve all the problems. Well we all know how many problems a government solves, a big fat ZERO. ducking and weaving their way around anything that costs. Peter Andrews comes up with an almost costless solution and they still don't want to know. I think they would lose some of the scare tactics they apply to keep people in line.
