The iPhone and the Newton are both good devices.

Amazing machine! 15 years old and fast, i own it, still using it today!

my eMate arrived yesterday and I have a few questions: is there anyway I can play music on it, is there anyway I can connect it to the internet? It didn't come with an original stylus where do you think I could get one? Can you explain to me how I would go about connecting it to my computer? (windows 7 hp with core i5)

You can connect it to a pre-USB Mac with an Apple serial cable or to a PC via the old serial port if you have a Newton to serial cable, Apple's Newton Connection Utilities software is used on the PC or Mac to connect to it.

@BeigeG3 could you use a serial-USB adaptor, or would i have to use my old Windows 98 machine as a "Interpretor"?

I don't know to be honest - I think it would be likely to work better with the real serial port and older hardware and Windows version though.

Hello. First of all great video, even music I like.
I wanted to find out hardware information: the Newton 120 runs on batteries (Primary cell) or rechargeable battery such as that of the notebook?
Thank you!

Hiya,
The Newton takes four AA-size batteries, so can take standard disposable ones, rechargeable ones, or there is an Apple-made 4-cell rechargeable pack that fits in the machine and comes with a plug-in charger. They will run off a wall adapter if you don't have any batteries to hand, there is a separate small round backup battery so that it retains your settings when the main batteries are removed.
Thanks! :-)
