Laos Markets , full with fresh food !

Always a guaranty to meet local people,and see how they live,visit the local market ! Some things look scary,but so do we ! (the farang).I allways had good and fresh food in Laos,nothing goes lost,almost everything is edible,so it was for our ancestors in the (spoiled) west ! Fresh fish out of the river Mekong!
Best coffee in the whole world!Big smiles! Lao beer !

Thanks for sharing. I spent 3 weeks in Laos & that's more weird foods than I even saw. Apart from live snakes & goannas too.

@Fire4FX I am going back there soon,I ate probably their weirdest stuff,and never got sick,(some things are only in the head),and are real tastefull,some snakes taste like chicken or fish,and the fried grasshoppers taste good with a beer,the only problem is to find "nam keng",ice for the beer,hahaha

i was there about ten years ago laotiens are nice some foods i could deal with but some were so creepy i'd like to go there again there is so nice n peace cuz there got less technology and cellphone i really like there PEACE!!

@chompoo4usa Just got back from 3 weeks in Nakhon Phanom province,very basic life in a small rural village,most people live from what they find in the forest,that includes everything what crawls or flies around,western people have no idea,they just go to the supermarket.But what if no telephone,no supermarket,no city water,no public transport....western people should try this,...feet back on the ground...?

maybe i have been gone from home too long!!! my stomach is turning!!! good to see some familiar images
