I drove a 2010 outback linetronic around NZ south island; I did everthing on the manual paddel control to try and better the CVT. In the end, I found that the CVT was best left to do it's job and I relaxed to enjoy the drive. Not likeing CVT as DSG seems to be the in thing but I think the Outback 2010 Linetronic or what Subaru they calls it is a techno breakthough.

@WishMaster2020 Did you see all the cheap plastic inside there? Sitting in my friends 2011 WRX, I already felt it was a piece of shit (excluding the engine, of course). This one is at a new level of shit.
