  • too much singing in the church...that's why black women fill the pews. SAD!

  • I suggest you read the whole of 2Chronicles-5. Verse 13 reads: It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD;

  • I suggest you read the whole message of the Quran from sura to sura. The days of the singing slave are over...the most sincere act of worship is prayer... not singing.

  • I don't judge your beliefs and religious rituals and most certainly won't let you define mine. You continue to pray and may God continue to bless you. I'll sing and pray and may God continue to bless me.

  • Is that some sort of anecdotal observation or a to be continued critical analysis backed up with credible data?

  • @dln3472 that is not true. it is an old message but the truth is that the church is probably the only thing consistent in their life that gives them worth, warmth and welcome. Their job gives them a salary but it is not who they are. The church gives them a sense of satisfaction that they need to find in a treacherous world. And I dont have a problem with that.

  • Agreed...

  • Rev Wright preaches the good will of God, while exposing the danger and result of violence. This is what God's book tells us. You just want to be blind and watch your sports and music videos, say the world is perfect and be unaware of evil, while this man is telling us what God expects of this country, what we should be living up to. The goodness we seek. Don't let the media blind you. Don't fear the truth for it will set you free.
